PART 1 : The Vision
The event is going to primarily serve as a coming out party party for Party Party Partners Records. The show will be a Triple CD-R / Tape release to celebrate the elevation of the PPP branding exercise to the realm of actual production. Performances and musical offerie by quiet hooves, bubbly mommy gun, and Mouser will punctuate the evening; each band will celebrate a release of a CD and a Tape. In addition we will have brand new musical salables from The Dream Scene, the musical project of quiet hooves producer and guitar smoker Javier Morales. We will also be selling a dubbed VHS of videos that we have made. Prices are cheap and negotiable. Reptar and Timmy Tumble will close and open the festivities in truest form.
In addition to the diarrhea of performances and releases from all of your favorite pp partners there will be live audio-visual-style overloads of all stripes to excite the very senses. There will be a psychedelic light show happening courtesy of Ray Burg’s EYEGATE, a group of folks making old-fashioned trippy hocus pocus. There will be video installations courtesy of VIDEO PROGRAM, a vhs video installation and performance crew consisting of Julian Bozeman (of quiet hooves) and John Crowe (experimental animator and AUX contributor). As an allusion to this spectacle we are utilizing the WUXTRY record store window as a staging ground to promote the show, expect a goofy installation replete with televisions and jungled collages

quiet hooves is a group of friends contributing to arrange the songs of Julian Bozeman. The songs are very malleable and usually consist of different recorded arrangements; the 8 piece live instrumentation consists of keyboard, bass, drums, synthesizer, guitar, trumpet, clarinet, flute, and violin. quiet hooves is releasing a split EP with The Dream Scene, the songs on the split are a marked departure from the democratic arrangements of the live band.

bubbly mommy gun is the musical result of a mind meld between its creators Greg O’Connell and Charlie Key. bubbly mommy gun makes dreamily off-kilter pop music with punk energy and willfully obtuse experimentation. Slack guitar lines and virtuosic keyboard parts connect with hyper drums and dopey bass lines. The impressionistic arrangements are most often delivered frantically and songs often vary indistinguishably in performance. bubbly mommy gun is releasing their first full length CD “ain’t got no favorite color”.

Mouser has been around since 2005, Mercer West and Colby Carter are the most weathered contributors to a band that has seen up to 15 members. Mouser is first and foremost a performance vehicle and has not released very much recorded output until now, the dawn of their first release “storm dumps”. The band has been known to change songs on the fly and encourages group exploration, especially in the orchestration. Mouser now features the standard 2 guitars, bass and drums setup augmented by an orchestra consisting of two trumpets, two violins, sax, keyboards, and clarinet.

Reptar closes the night with some seriously danceable stuff. Sharp melodies and found sound audio samples mixed together with big beats and a kaleidoscope of pop influences. These guys are really swell, are a fun live band, and are preparing material to release a 10″ record before the new year.

PART 2 : T H E T O O L S
PPP has made releases in the past, we have 11 CD-Rs that we have released to date. By the end of the year we will have a vinyl LP release of Christmas music by The Dream Scene as well as a quiet hooves 7″. In the future we will be focusing mostly on limited edition and handmade vinyl and tape releases The releases below will be on CD-Rs and handmade tapes. We try to use mostly recycled materials and also offer download codes for those attendees adverse to music packaging.

Javier Morales of The Dream Scene is producing a quiet hooves album the old fashioned way. Julian Bozeman of quiet hooves writes the songs and Morales takes the skeleton and writes completely new arrangements for the songs. In addition he ends up playing all of the instruments on these particular recordings. Saxophones, bells, unorthodox percussion, and swelling sythesizers give Julian’s song new life. This split CD highlights 4 songs from an upcoming Javier-produced quiet hooves album. In addition he applies his techniques to his own music, 4 songs from The Dream Scene’s upcoming triple album opus are featured on the CD as well.

::: ppp015 - Mouser - “storm dumps” - cd-r / tape / digital
’storm dumps’ was recorded in the kitchen of Tim Schreiber (lickity splits, timmy tumble, dark meat). Tim now plays bass for Mouser. Very very fast and loose garage pop. Mostly live with splattered orchestra arrangements, trippy 60’s style editing, and joyful triumphs.
::: ppp014 - bubbly mommy gun - “ain’t got no favorite color” - cd-r / Tape / digital
bubbly mommy gun makes dreamy pop music with lots of colorfully rough edges. “aint got no favorite color” is their first album release. It is the result of jamming live as a band and adding intuitive instrumental overdubs to season the songs. The band approaches the recorded songs democratically and is willfully experimental when it comes to broadening the instrumental palette.

We are offering a handful of tracks as a sampler of Javier Morales’ Christmas album, the first vinyl to be released by Party Party Partners. Bizarro arrangements join forces with some of the most familiar songs of all time. In the spirit of 1960’s and 1970’s producer / arrangers such as Burt Bacharach, Brian Wilson, and Van Dyke Parks.

quiet hooves has revisited the tracks on their debut album “no mare o’ mine” and are releasing the spoils on limited edition cassette. The album was originally released on 300 limited edition handmade CDs but we have sold out. This new recording will be released on vinyl in the new year.

Party Party Partners was conceived as a one-man branding exercise to entice potential event attendants with grand and confusing marketing throw-up. With lots of help and enthusiasm PPP has blossomed into much more than just throw-up. We hope to continue to host left-of-center party times, offer new releases of music we like, and showcase video and art that we enjoy.
